1. Who we are

dragonfc.co.uk ("Dragon Team", "we", "us") is operated by Dragon Sports Media Limited, registered in England and Wales. See our Privacy Policy for full company details.

Dragon Team is the contributor hub for the Dragon Sports Media Limited sports content network. By applying for contributor status, logging in, or using this site, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

2. The service

Dragon Team is an internal contributor portal. We use it to:

Receive applications from freelance sports journalists, photographers, videographers and other content creators
Manage a pool of approved contributors
Post commissioning briefs and accept claims and submissions
Track promotional short links and bonus eligibility
Receive and process invoices

The site is intended for adults (18+) applying or contributing to our network. It is not aimed at the general public.

3. Accounts

To apply you create an account with a password. You’re responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. Notify us at privacy@dragonfc.co.uk if you suspect unauthorised access.

We may suspend or close an account at our discretion, including for breach of these Terms, breach of a commission, or for misleading information on your profile. You can also delete your own account at any time by emailing us.

4. Applying as a contributor

Applying does not guarantee approval. Our editorial team reviews each application and decides whether to add you to the contributor pool. We aim to review within two weeks but timing varies with volume.

If we approve your application, we’ll email you. If we don’t, we’ll either email you or keep your details on file in case priorities shift later. See our Privacy Policy for retention periods.

5. Commissioning

Each piece of work is a separate engagement. The brief email is the agreement: scope, deadline, fee, rights. By accepting a brief you agree to deliver to the brief’s terms.

Standard practice across the network:

Commissioned content is work-for-hire. Dragon Sports Media Limited (or the relevant network site) owns the published piece on delivery and acceptance.
You retain the right to reference the piece in your portfolio and link to it. Republishing the piece elsewhere requires our prior agreement.
Plagiarism and AI-generated submissions are not accepted. We run automated checks before publication.
Payment is against an invoice you submit at the end of each calendar month. Standard terms are 30 days from receipt.

6. Promotion bonus scheme

When a piece of yours is published, we generate a short link. If you share the short link on socials and it drives unique clicks above documented thresholds, you earn additional bonus payments on top of the brief fee. See the FAQ for current thresholds.

To prevent abuse:

Bot traffic and self-clicks are filtered. We track aggregated unique-click counts, not individual visitors.
Material gaming of the click system (repeated self-traffic, bought clicks, link-jacking) voids the bonus and may end your contributor status.

7. Editor’s Pick and engagement bonus

Additional bonuses may be awarded at editorial discretion for high engagement (average read time on the published piece) or as a monthly Editor’s Pick. These are discretionary, not a contractual entitlement.

8. Intellectual property on this site

The look, feel, code and content of dragonfc.co.uk (excluding contributor-uploaded material) is owned by or licensed to Dragon Sports Media Limited.

You upload only content you have the right to share (headshots, portfolio links, invoices). By uploading you grant us a limited licence to display and process that content for the purposes set out in our Privacy Policy.

9. Confidentiality

Briefs sent to you, and any commercial or editorial information shared in the course of commissioning, are confidential. Do not share briefs publicly or with other publishers before publication.

10. Acceptable use

Do not:

Apply with false or misleading information
Misrepresent another person’s portfolio as your own
Submit AI-drafted work as your own
Attempt to access other users’ accounts or data
Probe, scan, or attack the site or its infrastructure

11. Liability

The site is provided on an "as is" basis. We don’t guarantee uninterrupted access or freedom from errors. To the extent permitted by law, our liability to you in connection with the use of this site is limited to the fees we owe you for commissioned work outstanding at the time of any claim.

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. Material changes are notified by email to active contributors before they take effect.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
